STEP 1: Measure the inside width at 3 locations - the top, middle and bottom. Record the smallest of the 3 measurements. This is your ordering width. We will make the necessary deductions (approx. 1/4").
STEP 2: Measure the height at 3 locations - the left side, middle and right side. Record the largest of the 3 measurements. This is your ordering height.
STEP 1: Measure the width of the area you wish to cover. If space allows we recommend adding 3-4" (1 1/2"-2" each side) to this measurement to help eliminate light seepage. This is your ordering width and will be the overall width measurement of the shade.
STEP 2: Measure the height of the area you wish to cover. This is your ordering height. Be sure to take into account the flat mounting surface area when measuring the area you want to cover with your shade. The factory will make your shade (including the headrail) to the width and height ordered. Generally 3" - 4" added to the height of your opening (including molding or framework you wish to cover) will allow you room to mount above the window frame.

I ordered these roman shades after an unsuccessful purchase from the home depot. I was skeptical but I was not disappointed in the least. They are beautifully made and fit perfectly. I followed the easy online instructions for measuring and everything has worked out! Now I am set to order blinds for the kitchen and more...
My new shade fits my window perfectly. It is very pretty, and adjusting it up or down is simple. I plan to buy more of these shades for other windows in my house.
3 shades ordered.
3 shades hung & doing the job intended.
I Love them All!
These window shades are beautiful installed and look just like the much more expensive one sold by local retailers. Super great value and look!
Looks Great, easy to install and easy to use
I purchased a total of 5 roman shades for my home in San Francisco. I requested the samples be sent to be before I made my decision which really helped me to see the fabrics before committing to them. They arrived quickly and look absolutely beautiful. Before ordering these I contacted a local person who made custom shades and she was very expensive. I'm so glad I found Yourblinds. I'm going to order more roman shades for another property.
Great customer service and the shades are very nice. Easy installation too. I will definitely order from yourblinds again.
My order was complicated because it included 30 shades of different sizes. I worked directly with Becky to place the order and she was terrific. The blinds are beautiful, they arrived on time and they fit perfectly! I did lots of research before deciding to order from Blinster.com and I am so happy I did! I will use them again and will recommend them to my clients and friends.
I'm very happy with roman blinds quality and look. I will continue to order from here and I've also recommended to family members and now they are also ordering from here
We installed these blinds inside the window frame, and because of the size, we had to order the chord pull. There are two problems with this: 1) They design it with the chord pull on the backside of the blind. It looks cleaner because you don't see the chord. But when we have to lift the blind, we have to first pull out the blind to get to the chord, which can be a pain if you have books and stuff on the window ledge or something in front of the window like a bed frame. 2) Then, when we pull it up, you're supposed to trigger the tension to hold it in place by pulling the chord to the right, but this is mounted right up against our window so we could maximize use of the ledge for books and stuff, and the deep frame makes it impossible to pull the chord to the right to trigger the tension hold because the chord is on the right, so the wall of the window frame prevents us from being able to do so easily. Other than those two things, it's a nice blind.
