Installed total of eight 84" length blinds of widths from 48" to 33" in a new sunroom. After one month of raising and lowering every day, I am completely pleased. Blinds are exactly as described and the material is great. The 5% fabric shades the room but you still need protection from the glaring sun in your eyes, such as a pull across drape which adds another element of softness to the room. Would recommend highly.

It's for a west-facing window in my gelato shop. When all the freezers and coolers are running, it gets very hot in here. We needed one more solar shade (we had been using an outdoor umbrella on this window and it wasn't enough). The other windows have solar shades that provide less coverage (90% coverage instead of 95%). Wish I had this product on ALL my west-facing windows!!!
YourBlinds.com was very easy to work with. Just make sure you measure correctly, because custom shades are not returnable. The installation hardware is designed to allow for one inch or so of wiggle room in the width in case you didn't measure exactly right.

I like this type of drapery. I used it for our patio doors. It is up above the door and out of the way. I don't usually close the drapery for the patio doors all the time. I close it for intense heat and this will work great to block out the sun in the summer. Just remember that these sheer curtains do not give privacy. You think they do until you walk out at night and see reflections in your room through the sheers.

One of the retractor spring mechanism broke, albeit did not impact the operation.

There were no instructions included so I figured out what needed to be done by looking at sketches on the website. There were not enough screws to put three in each bracket, which I thought was supposed to happen so I ended up removing a screw from each inside mounted bracket. Also it would be nice to have an option to have a shorter loop that was only as long as the blind. This would help keep the cord from being within reach of small children. The plastic cord mount still provides children an opportunity to get tangled if installed near the floor. Leveling the blinds was what made the installation difficult. Installing exterior mount was even more difficult do to the lack of a pressure fit and I consider myself fairly competent with construction and household repairs. I installed most of the blinds myself but it would definitely be beneficial to have two people. Again, the lack of an instruction manual or tips to installing slowed down the process. Overall, the blinds work great and people who have seen them have complimented them highly. They provide good privacy and keep the sun from glaring in eyes for the most part or at least much better than other shades. It is nice to be able to see outside through the shades as well, which makes them unlike any other shades I've had before.
