Pros:
My room face west so it gets lots of light especially during the afternoon hours during my nap time. And I hate that. So I got this to control the light, which it does. It blacks out the room nicely. It's also used to control the heat of the sun. It's hasn't been too hot so I'm not sure of that feature yet.
Cons:
The material is like paper, but I knew that cause I got a sample before I bought. Though, now I'm wondering how long they'll last. The Top Down/Bottom Up cordless feature is nice but it's not very smooth. You really need two hands. WARING: When adjusting the cord. Hold on tight to the little string else it will recoil and you will need a needle to re-thread it. Darn pain.
Also I may have measured wrong, but there's a gap around the edges so in the afternoon there is a halo effect. Really cool if like to wake up thinking aliens are about to kidnap you.

We purchased these blinds as our kitchen remodel spilled over into our adjacent family room. The kitchen came out beautifully but removing the wood blinds, and replacing them with our new cellular shades, is the best money we spent. Everyone comments on them and now both rooms are just gorgeous.

I did not know the brand Comfortex but I knew Comfortex was owned by Hunter Douglas. I was hoping the quality would be comparable. These shades were also less expensive than some Hunter Douglas shades I was looking at so I thought I'd see how good they were. I have been pleased. These shades are everything I have gotten in the more expensive Hunter Douglas Duette shades I have in other rooms in my house. I will definitely be buying more Comfortex shades!
