Hunter Douglas Country Woods Expose® provide the optimum balance of strength to significantly reduce warping of slats, lightness of weight for ease in lifting and stain acceptance for long lasting color.

Wood blinds are a good choice for those concerned with energy efficiency, since wood is one of nature's best insulators and can be ordered with traditional routed slats (with visible cord holes) or with Hunter Douglas' de-Light™ routless design which eliminates light leaks, that produce glare, ensuring greater privacy.  Decorative cloth tapes that block the light are also available.

  • Personal Safety & UV Protection - 
    • Whether you are at home or thousands of miles away, the timer can control the interior light and view, minimizing harsh UV rays that threaten furnishings.
    • Security feature raises or lowers shades randomly to give the impression of an occupied home
  • The timer operate like a remote control by sending infrared signals which open or close window coverings to programmed settings.
  • The timer has a range of up to 50 feet and 180 degree coverage when not exposed to direct light sources.  
  • Timer must be placed within direct-line-of-sight of the receivers on all window coverings you want to use with the timer.
  • NO WIRING NEEDED!
  • Allows you to set specific times for your shades to be raised and lowered.
  • Can be programmed up to four times per day on each of three channels to operate at the same time each day or different times on different days.
  • Can be programmed differently for weekdays and weekends.
  • In programming, you can define "open" and "close" in terms of the degree of tilt desired
  • During the course of a day, the blinds may have been adjusted with the remote control.  To ensure the blinds open or close to their programmed position at their set time, the Timer will fully close the blinds and re-open them to the programmed position.
  • The timer can also be used as a manual override for immediate open and close functions, regardless of programmed times.
  • "Energy saving" and "Holiday" modes.  Holiday mode can be used when leaving home for extended periods of time.  It will vary the operation of the set times by 15 minutes to imitate when you are at home.
  • Can be wall mounted or set on a table
  • The Timer will warn you when the battery power is low.  However, if the battery power stops before being replaced, the timer will retain its programmed memory for several months.  Only the day and time will need to be reset.

  Can be ordered if you need more than 18" to clear obstructions by a top treatment or cornice so that the remote infrared eye can make direct contact with the receiver.   
   
   
• Polarity Change Cable    $20
  .  Multiple blinds ordered with controls on opposite sides will require their motors to be located on opposide sides.  This will cause their respective blinds to tilt in opposite directions.
  .  The polarity change cable will reverse the tilt direction of any motor to which it is applied, enabling blinds to tilt in the same direction.
   
   
• NOTE: Hunter Douglas recommends that infrared eyes on adjacent shadings be positioned as far apart as possible for independent operation of each shading.
     
   
• Battery Holder - included in price
   

  	Battery Holder requires four "AA" Alkaline or lithium batteries.  Expected battery life when shade is opened and closed three times daily: .  Alkaline batteries - one year .  Lithium batteries - five years The shading does not need to be removed from the window to change the batteries.
