Tips for Covering French Doors
Tip #1: We recommend outside mounting blinds and shades for French Doors.
Tip #2: Requesting hold down brackets for the bottoms of your shades will hold the bottom rail in place to prevent swinging when the door is opened or closed.
Tip #3: Requesting control cords on the side of the door where the hinge is located will prevent the cords from getting stuck in the door and prevent damage to them.
Tip #4: Most of the blinds and shades on our site will fit behind a lever-handle on a French door, however, if you choose not to have your blind behind the lever, you can switch your lever-handle to a knob from a local hardware store.
