How to Mount a Blind in an Arched Window

Windows 48" Wide or Less

When mounting arches in windows that are 48" or less, attach End Mounting Brackets to the side window jambs. These brackets are provided free when you request them with each order. The arch is attached to the top of the blind head rail.

Windows More Than 48" With a Center Mullion

Window over 48 inches with center mullion.
Blinds mounted in a window that is more than 48" wide need additional support to prevent sagging over time. When the window has a center mullion, an "L" bracket (purchased at you local hardware store) can be attached to the center mullion. Attach End Mounting Brackets to the side window jambs (end mount brackets must be requested when you place your order). Attach the L bracket to the top of the blinds head rail with center bracket. These brackets are automatically provided free with each order for blinds over 48" in width. The arch is attached to the top of the blind head rail.

Windows More Than 48" Without a Center Mullion

Window over 48 inches without center mullion.
Blinds mounted in an arched window that is more than 48" wide need additional support to prevent sagging over time. When the window does not have a center mullion, a "shelf" (piece of wood the length and depth of the window opening) can be mounted across the window opening to provide the necessary support. This "shelf" can be attached to either side of your window with "L" brackets (purchased at you local hardware store). Mount your blind to the underside of the wood shelf with the brackets provided like a normal installation. The arch can then be attached to the top of the shelf.
